We are delighted to announce that the Friends of St Hilda's will be our Charity Partner for the 2019 Season. The role of the Friends of St Hilda’s is to fund raise for special projects that support and add value to the work of St. Hilda’s Services.

St. Hilda's Services

Established in 1964 by the community, St. Hilda’s Services is a voluntary organisation that provides a comprehensive quality service to people with mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Based in Athlone their services benefit in excess of 120 services users and their families. St. Hilda’s Services unique governing structure, which is predominantly parents and families of service users, ensures that the care of people within the service always comes first.

The principles of person centered planning are embraced throughout the organisation and all planning within the St. Hilda’s Services is driven by the individual’s and families who avail of their services. St. Hilda’s Services is committed to providing a service that puts the choices of the people they work with first, with all staff working in partnership with families and service users to promote this everything that they do.

What can we do ?

In order to help the Friends of St Hilda's in their fund raising efforts we will be hosting events at several of the Senior Team matches during the season. To get the ball rolling in that regard we will be donating Gate Receipts from the two Pre-Season friendlies to the charity. The first match is this weekend, Saturday 2nd February, against Sligo Rovers and kick off is at 2.00pm. The second friendly is on Saturday 9th February against Finn Harps and kick off in that game will be at 4.00pm. The entry fee for both game will be €5.00 per adult with under 16's free of charge.

We hope that a lot of supporters will attend the games to get a look at the squad that Terry has put together for the 2019 season as well as the new Astro Turf and at the same time help out a very worthwhile cause.
